More Swiss Guard

Hey all y'all, thanks for the encouragement on the artwork!!! :-)

I picked up the paintbrushes yesterday at home to try and make further progress on this painting. I actually did some glazes in an attempt to make the flesh look more human. (It was looking cadaverous previously because I was following Rembrandt's greenish pallette.) I have way more to do on it and the critique is tomorrow, so I'm going to try and paint for much of today.

I am getting super-frustrated with my lack of tech capabilities. I would really like to get a digital camera and some broadband service; I'm still on dial-up!
I am getting to the point where I am realizing that as a visual and performing artist, it is absurd not to have these things that almost every middle-class person in America has.

hope you all are well,
your "San Francisco Values" pal,
Alb./Grove

The painting is looking seriously good. I can hardly wait to see the finished product.

Albie, the amount saved by dropping AOL was sufficient to cover the additional expense of DSL service. Now that AOL is free, you can retain your user name and online address while also obtaining broadband service.

Or look at it this way, one good picture sale ($500) will pay for ALL of your online expenses for a year and leave enough left over for Madame Glinka to have one or a couple of those fruity cocktails with the umbrellas...

Go for the DSL, you Gayballero!!

When your budding art career takes off, you'll want to be able to have serious 'Net access to post pics of all your masterpieces.

BTW- I'll start the bidding at $25.00 for the one shown.

Aw...Remo's still hanging around. Warms the cockles, a bit doesn't it?

Love the pic! Good luck on the critique. :-)
