I GOT CAST!

The audition/meeting was a success. They were into me, and they want me to be in their ensemble for this new play. (see two entries ago.)

I thought they wanted me to play some Token Older Gay Guy, but instead they want me to play this sort of Everyman Disillusioned Businessman type.

In other words, I'll be playing my Dad...

This company, Boxcar Theatre, won an award last year for best new theater company at S.F.'s annual Fringe Festival.

! ! !

They are VERY YOUNG, but seem cool and pretty together.

I am happy! :-)

Way to go, Albert ~ good for you!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooo proud!

What an adorable pic of you!

Now, if I only had a Drag King name, I could play my father, too. Going for my Spring haircut soon @ the barbershop soon...yes, the barbershop, so you know it'll be short & as my mother puts it "un-feminine." I'll really be needing that Drag king name.

Smooches,
~Aunt Nub~

Okay, so get someone to sneak video of your performance and upload it here. Do you think you'll feel like you're channeling your dad?

PS If this uploads twice you get credit for TWO comments instead of one. The website is not responding which means somebody is on a cigarette break.

Oh, Albert, I am so happy for you. I hope you will share the experience with us, for I have learned a lot from you-and not just about Opera. I hope you can enjoy the experience to its fullest. Love and kissed, Margo

OMG, Good News ... congratulations
Alb. You'll be playing your Dad? Hmmm ... Somehow, I've always sort of pictured you playing the part of my dad!

Will you need a new wardrobe or can you use the one from last year, the movie. you know business man reading the paper attire?

Maybe if it's a play you will be supplied with wardrobe, right?
